dml21_ModeSupportAndSystemConfigurationFull [Why & How] With Werror enabled in the kernel we were failing the clang build since dml21_ModeSupportAndSystemConfigurationFull's stack frame is 1064 when building with clang, and exceeding the default 1024 stack frame limit. The culprit seems to be the Pipe struct, so pull the relevant block out into its own sub-function. [Why] DETBufferSizeInKByte is not expected to be sub-dividable, hence unsigned int is a better suited data-type. Change it to an array as well to satisfy current requirements. 2021-04-09drm/amd/display: Fix UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds warningAnson Jacob
[Why] On NAVI14 CONFIG_UBSAN reported shift-out-of-bounds at display_rq_dlg_calc_20v2.c:304:38 rq_param->misc.rq_c.blk256_height is 0 when chroma(*_c) is invalid. dml_log2 returns -1023 for log2(0), although log2(0) is undefined. Which ended up as: rq_param->dlg.rq_c.swath_height = 1 << -1023 [How] Fix applied on all dml versions. 1. Ensure dml_log2 is only called if the argument is greater than 0. 2. Subtract req128_l/req128_c from log2_swath_height_l/log2_swath_height_c only when it is greater than 0. 2020-11-10drm/amd/display: Add fallback to prefetch mode 1 if 0 failsIsabel Zhang
[Why] In some cases, prefetch mode 0 is unsupported but prefetch 1 is supported. Due to previous change always forcing prefetch mode to 0, we are failing bandwidth validation in cases where we should not. [How] By default try prefetch mode 0 but in the case validation fails, attempt to do prefetch mode 1 to see if it is supported. [Why] DCN2 and DSC are stable enough to be build by default. So drop the flags. [How] Remove them using the unifdef tool. 2019-10-17drm/amd/display: update odm mode validation to be in line with policyDmytro Laktyushkin
Previously 8k30 worked with dsc and odm combine due to a workaround that ran the formula a second time with dsc support enable should dsc validation fail. This worked when clocks were low enough for formula to enable odm to lower voltage, however now broke due to increased clocks. This change updates the ODM combine policy within the formula to properly reflect our current policy within DC, only enabling ODM when we have to, as well as adding a check for viewport width when dsc is enabled. As a side effect the redundant call to dml when odm is required is now unnecessary.
