2024-05-22tracing/treewide: Remove second parameter of __assign_str()Steven Rostedt (Google)
With the rework of how the __string() handles dynamic strings where it saves off the source string in field in the helper structure[1], the assignment of that value to the trace event field is stored in the helper value and does not need to be passed in again. This means that with: __string(field, mystring) Which use to be assigned with __assign_str(field, mystring), no longer needs the second parameter and it is unused. With this, __assign_str() will now only get a single parameter. There's over 700 users of __assign_str() and because coccinelle does not handle the TRACE_EVENT() macro I ended up using the following sed script: git grep -l __assign_str | while read a ; do sed -e 's/\(__assign_str([^,]*[^ ,]\) *,[^;]*/\1)/' $a > /tmp/test-file; mv /tmp/test-file $a; done I then searched for __assign_str() that did not end with ';' as those were multi line assignments that the sed script above would fail to catch. Note, the same updates will need to be done for: __assign_str_len() __assign_rel_str() __assign_rel_str_len() I tested this with both an allmodconfig and an allyesconfig (build only for both). 2022-10-24net: dpaa2-eth: add trace points on XSK eventsRobert-Ionut Alexa
Define the dpaa2_tx_xsk_fd and dpaa2_rx_xsk_fd trace events for the XSK zero-copy Rx and Tx path. Also, define the dpaa2_eth_buf as an event class so that both dpaa2_eth_buf_seed and dpaa2_xsk_buf_seed traces can derive from the same class. 2020-06-25dpaa2-eth: fix recursive header includeIoana Ciornei
The dpaa2-eth.h header file includes dpaa2-eth-trace.h which includes back dpaa2-eth leading to a recursion in the include path. Fix this by removing the include of dpaa2-eth.h in the trace header. 2018-09-01dpaa2-eth: Move DPAA2 Ethernet driver from staging to drivers/netIoana Radulescu
The DPAA2 Ethernet driver supports Freescale/NXP SoCs with DPAA2 (DataPath Acceleration Architecture v2). The driver manages network objects discovered on the fsl-mc bus. Signed-off-by: Ioana Radulescu <ruxandra.radulescu@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
