2025-01-18octeon_ep: update tx/rx stats locally for persistenceShinas Rasheed
Update tx/rx stats locally, so that ndo_get_stats64() can use that and not rely on per queue resources to obtain statistics. The latter used to cause race conditions when the device stopped. 2024-12-09octeon_ep: add ndo ops for VFs in PF driverShinas Rasheed
These APIs are needed to support applications that use netlink to get VF information from a PF driver. Signed-off-by: Shinas Rasheed <srasheed@marvell.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20241206064135.2331790-1-srasheed@marvell.com Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>
2023-12-19octeon_ep: PF-VF mailbox version supportShinas Rasheed
Add PF-VF mailbox initial version support Signed-off-by: Shinas Rasheed <srasheed@marvell.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Horman <horms@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com>
2023-12-19octeon_ep: add PF-VF mailbox communicationShinas Rasheed
Implement mailbox communication between PF and VFs. PF-VF mailbox is used for all control commands from VF to PF and asynchronous notification messages from PF to VF. 2023-12-05octeon_ep: control net API framework to support offloadsShinas Rasheed
Inquire firmware on supported offloads, as well as convey offloads enabled dynamically to firmware. New control net API functionality is required for the above. Implement control net API framework for offloads. Additionally, fetch/insert offload metadata from hardware RX/TX buffer respectively during receive/transmit. Currently supported offloads include checksum and TSO. 2023-11-30octeon_ep: support OCTEON CN98 devicesShinas Rasheed
Add PCI Endpoint NIC support for Octeon CN98 devices. CN98 devices are part of Octeon 9 family products with similar PCI NIC characteristics to CN93, already supported driver. Add CN98 card to the device id table, as well as support differences in the register fields and certain usage scenarios such as unload. 2023-11-21octeon_ep: support Octeon CN10K devicesShinas Rasheed
Add PCI Endpoint NIC support for Octeon CN10K devices. CN10K devices are part of Octeon 10 family products with similar PCI NIC characteristics. These include: - CN10KA - CNF10KA - CNF10KB - CN10KB Update supported device list in Documentation Signed-off-by: Shinas Rasheed <srasheed@marvell.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20231117103817.2468176-1-srasheed@marvell.com Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com>
2023-11-16octeon_ep: remove atomic variable usage in Tx data pathShinas Rasheed
Replace atomic variable "instr_pending" which represents number of posted tx instructions pending completion, with host_write_idx and flush_index variables in the xmit and completion processing respectively. 2023-09-19octeon_ep: restructured interrupt handlersShinas Rasheed
Separated queue specific interrupts to register to individual msix-vectors instead of using a single generic interrupt handler on a single msix-vector. 2023-03-27octeon_ep: add heartbeat monitorVeerasenareddy Burru
Monitor periodic heartbeat messages from device firmware. Presence of heartbeat indicates the device is active and running. If the heartbeat is missed for configured interval indicates firmware has crashed and device is unusable; in this case, PF driver stops and uninitialize the device. 2023-03-27octeon_ep: poll for control messagesVeerasenareddy Burru
Poll for control messages until interrupts are enabled. All the interrupts are enabled in ndo_open(). Add ability to listen for notifications from firmware before ndo_open(). Once interrupts are enabled, this polling is disabled and all the messages are processed by bottom half of interrupt handler. 2022-11-04octeon_ep: support Octeon device CNF95NVeerasenareddy Burru
Add support for Octeon device CNF95N. CNF95N is a Octeon Fusion family product with same PCI NIC characteristics as CN93 which is currently supported by the driver. update supported device list in Documentation. 2022-04-15octeon_ep: Remove custom driver versionLeon Romanovsky
In review comment [1] was pointed that new code is not supposed to set driver version and should rely on kernel version instead. As an outcome of that comment all the dance around setting such driver version to FW should be removed too, because in upstream kernel whole driver will have same version so read/write from/to FW will give same result.
