2025-05-14octeontx2-pf: macsec: Fix incorrect max transmit size in TX secySubbaraya Sundeep
MASCEC hardware block has a field called maximum transmit size for TX secy. Max packet size going out of MCS block has be programmed taking into account full packet size which has L2 header,SecTag and ICV. MACSEC offload driver is configuring max transmit size as macsec interface MTU which is incorrect. Say with 1500 MTU of real device, macsec interface created on top of real device will have MTU of 1468(1500 - (SecTag + ICV)). This is causing packets from macsec interface of size greater than or equal to 1468 are not getting transmitted out because driver programmed max transmit size as 1468 instead of 1514(1500 + ETH_HDR_LEN). 2025-01-06octeontx2-pf: mcs: Remove dead code and semi-colon from rsrc_name()Nihar Chaithanya
Every case in the switch-block ends with return statement, and the default: branch handles the cases where rsrc_type is invalid and returns "Unknown", this makes the return statement at the end of the function unreachable and redundant. The semi-colon is not required after the switch-block's curly braces. Remove the semi-colon after the switch-block's curly braces and the return statement at the end of the function. This issue was reported by Coverity Scan. 2023-07-18octeontx2-pf: mcs: Generate hash key using ecb(aes)Subbaraya Sundeep
Hardware generated encryption and ICV tags are found to be wrong when tested with IEEE MACSEC test vectors. This is because as per the HRM, the hash key (derived by AES-ECB block encryption of an all 0s block with the SAK) has to be programmed by the software in MCSX_RS_MCS_CPM_TX_SLAVE_SA_PLCY_MEM_4X register. Hence fix this by generating hash key in software and configuring in hardware. 2023-05-12octeontx2-pf: mcs: Offload extended packet number(XPN) featureSubbaraya Sundeep
The macsec hardware block supports XPN cipher suites also. Hence added changes to offload XPN feature. Changes include configuring SecY policy to XPN cipher suite, Salt and SSCI values. 64 bit packet number is passed instead of 32 bit packet number. 2023-05-10macsec: Use helper macsec_netdev_priv for offload driversSubbaraya Sundeep
Now macsec on top of vlan can be offloaded to macsec offloading devices so that VLAN tag is sent in clear text on wire i.e, packet structure is DMAC|SMAC|VLAN|SECTAG. Offloading devices can simply enable NETIF_F_HW_MACSEC feature in netdev->vlan_features for this to work. But the logic in offloading drivers to retrieve the private structure from netdev needs to be changed to check whether the netdev received is real device or a vlan device and get private structure accordingly. This patch changes the offloading drivers to use helper macsec_netdev_priv instead of netdev_priv. Signed-off-by: Subbaraya Sundeep <sbhatta@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2023-04-27octeontx2-pf: mcs: Do not reset PN while updating secySubbaraya Sundeep
After creating SecYs, SCs and SAs a SecY can be modified to change attributes like validation mode, protect frames mode etc. During this SecY update, packet number is reset to initial user given value by mistake. Hence do not reset PN when updating SecY parameters. 2023-04-27octeontx2-pf: mcs: Fix shared counters logicSubbaraya Sundeep
Macsec stats like InPktsLate and InPktsDelayed share same counter in hardware. If SecY replay_protect is true then counter represents InPktsLate otherwise InPktsDelayed. This mode change was tracked based on protect_frames instead of replay_protect mistakenly. Similarly InPktsUnchecked and InPktsOk share same counter and mode change was tracked based on validate_check instead of validate_disabled. This patch fixes those problems. 2023-04-27octeontx2-pf: mcs: Match macsec ethertype along with DMACSubbaraya Sundeep
On CN10KB silicon a single hardware macsec block is present and offloads macsec operations for all the ethernet LMACs. TCAM match with macsec ethertype 0x88e5 alone at RX side is not sufficient to distinguish all the macsec interfaces created on top of netdevs. Hence append the DMAC of the macsec interface too. Otherwise the first created macsec interface only receives all the macsec traffic. 2022-10-03octeontx2-pf: mcs: Introduce MACSEC hardware offloadingSubbaraya Sundeep
This patch introduces the macsec offload feature to cn10k PF netdev driver. The macsec offload ops like adding, deleting and updating SecYs, SCs, SAs and stats are supported. XPN support will be added in later patches. Some stats use same counter in hardware which means based on the SecY mode the same counter represents different stat. Hence when SecY mode/policy is changed then snapshot of current stats are captured. Also there is no provision to specify the unique flow-id/SCI per packet to hardware hence different mac address needs to be set for macsec interfaces.
