Adding two vendor operations that can be used to provide per-vendor
cfg80211 callbacks and per-vendor handlers for firmware events. These
two are often related to handling interactions from user-space through
nl80211. Exporting brcmf_fweh_register() for registering the per-vendor
event handler callbacks. Some other exports for get event name string
and allowing use of brcmf_dbg() in per-vendor module.

After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/net/wireless to use
.remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct
platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the
same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure
member name in the driver initializer.
En passant several whitespace changes are done to make indentation
consistent in the struct initializers.

WiFi modules often require 32kHz clock to function. Add support to
enable the clock to PCIe driver and move "brcm,bcm4329-fmac" check
to the top of brcmf_of_probe. Change function prototypes from void
to int and add appropriate errno's for return values that will be
send to bus when error occurred.

The firmware interface also defines events generated by
firmware on the device. As the get/set primitives the
events are likely to diverge between the vendors so this
commit adds support for per-vendor handling. The number
of events may differ so we let the vendor-specific code
allocate the struct brcmf_fweh_info which contains array
of event handlers. The existing event enumeration will be
used by the higher layers and thus are common definitions.
The vendor-specific code can provide a mapping table for
converting the common definition to the vendor-specific
firmware event definition and vice-versa.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

The calibration blob for a chip is normally stored in SROM and loaded
internally by the firmware. However, Apple ARM64 platforms instead store
it as part of platform configuration data, and provide it via the Apple
Device Tree. We forward this into the Linux DT in the bootloader.
Add support for taking this blob from the DT and loading it into the
dongle. The loading mechanism is the same as used for the CLM and TxCap
blobs.

On DT platforms, the module-instance and antenna-sku-info properties
are passed in the DT. On ACPI platforms, module-instance is passed via
the analogous Apple device property mechanism, while the antenna SKU
info is instead obtained via an ACPI method that grabs it from
non-volatile storage.
Add support for this, to allow proper firmware selection on Apple
platforms.

Prefer struct_size() over open-coded versions of idiom:
sizeof(struct-with-flex-array) + sizeof(typeof-flex-array-elements) * count
where count is the max number of items the flexible array is supposed to
contain.
In this particular case, in the open-coded version sizeof(typeof-flex-array-elements)
is implicit in _count_ because the type of the flex array data is u8:
drivers/net/wireless/broadcom/brcm80211/brcmfmac/fwil_types.h:941:
941 struct brcmf_dload_data_le {
942 __le16 flag;
943 __le16 dload_type;
944 __le32 len;
945 __le32 crc;

struct brcmf_dload_data_le
One-element arrays are deprecated, and we are replacing them with flexible
array members instead. So, replace one-element array with flexible-array
member in struct brcmf_dload_data_le.
Important to mention is that doing a build before/after this patch results
in no binary output differences.
This helps with the ongoing efforts to tighten the FORTIFY_SOURCE routines
on memcpy() and help us make progress towards globally enabling
-fstrict-flex-arrays=3 [1].

'brcmf_c_preinit_dcmds()'
This patch fixes a NULL pointer dereference bug in brcmfmac that occurs
when ptr which is NULL pointer passed as an argument of strlcpy() in
brcmf_c_preinit_dcmds(). This happens when the driver passes a firmware
version string that does not contain a space " ", making strrchr()
return a null pointer. This patch adds a null pointer check.
Found by a modified version of syzkaller.

Now that the firmware fetcher can handle per-board CLM files, load the
CLM blob alongside the other firmware files and change the bus API to
just return the existing blob, instead of fetching the filename.
This enables per-board CLM blobs, which are required on Apple platforms.

a board specific nvram is loaded from /lib/firmware. On most boards the
macaddr=... setting in the /lib/firmware nvram file is ignored because
the wifi/bt chip has a unique MAC programmed into the chip itself.
But in some cases the actual MAC from the /lib/firmware nvram file gets
used, leading to MAC conflicts.
The MAC addresses in the troublesome nvram files seem to all come from
the same nvram file template, so we can detect this by checking for
the template nvram file MAC.
Detect that the default MAC address is being used and replace it
with a random MAC address to avoid MAC address conflicts.
Note that udev will detect this is a random MAC based on
/sys/class/net/wlan0/addr_assign_type and then replace this with
a MAC based on hashing the netdev-name + the machine-id. So that
the MAC address is both guaranteed to be unique per machine while
it is still the same/persistent at each boot (assuming the
default Link.MACAddressPolicy=persistent udev setting).

When host driver retrieves mac addresses from dongle, driver copies memory
from drvr->mac to perm_addr. But at the moment, drvr->mac is all zero
array which causes permanent MAC address in wiphy is all zero as well.

So far __brcmf_err() was using pr_err() which didn't allow identifying
device that was affected by an error. It's crucial for systems with more
than 1 device supported by brcmfmac (a common case for home routers).
This change allows passing struct brcmf_bus to the __brcmf_err(). That
struct has been agreed to be the most common one. It allows accessing
struct device easily & using dev_err() printing helper.

The linux-firmware brcmfmac firmware files contain an embedded table with
per country allowed channels and strength info.
For recent hardware these versions of the firmware are specially build for
linux-firmware, the firmware files directly available from Cypress rely on
a separate clm_blob file for this info.
For some unknown reason Cypress refuses to provide the standard firmware
files + clm_blob files it uses elsewhere for inclusion into linux-firmware,
instead relying on these special builds with the clm_blob info embedded.
This means that the linux-firmware firmware versions often lag behind,
but I digress.
The brcmfmac driver does support the separate clm_blob file and always
tries to load this. Currently we use request_firmware for this. This means
that on any standard install, using the standard combo of linux-kernel +
linux-firmware, we will get a warning:
"Direct firmware load for ... failed with error -2"
On top of this, brcmfmac itself prints: "no clm_blob available (err=-2),
device may have limited channels available".
This commit switches to firmware_request_nowarn, fixing almost any brcmfmac
device logging the warning (it leaves the brcmfmac info message in place).

ARM systems with UEFI may have both devicetree (of) and DMI data in this
case we end up setting brcmf_mp_device.board_type twice.
In this case we should prefer the devicetree data, because:
1) The devicerree data is more reliable
2) Some ARM systems (e.g. the Raspberry Pi 3 models) support both UEFI and
classic uboot booting, the devicetree data is always there, so using it
makes sure we ask for the same nvram file independent of how we booted.
This commit moves the brcmf_dmi_probe call to before the brcmf_of_probe
call, so that the latter can override the value of the first if both are
set.

For x86 based machines, set the board_type used for nvram file selection
based on the DMI sys-vendor and product-name strings.
Since on some models these strings are too generic, this commit also adds
a quirk table overriding the strings for models listed in that table.
The board_type setting is used to load the board-specific nvram file with
a board-specific name so that we can ship files for each supported board
in linux-firmware.

strnchr takes arguments in the order of its name: string, max bytes to
read, character to search for. Here we're passing '\n' aka 10 as the
buffer size, and searching for sizeof(buf) aka BRCMF_DCMD_SMLEN aka
256 (aka '\0', since it's implicitly converted to char) within those 10
bytes.
Just interchanging the last two arguments would still leave a bug,
because if we've been successful once, there are not sizeof(buf)
characters left after the new value of p.
Since clmver is immediately afterwards passed as a %s argument, I assume
that it is actually a properly nul-terminated string. For that case, we
have strreplace().

Testing brcmfmac with more recent firmwares resulted in AP interfaces
not working in some specific setups. Debugging resulted in discovering
support for IAPP in Broadcom's firmwares.
Older firmwares were only generating 802.11f frames. Newer ones like:
1) 10.10 (TOB) (r663589)
2) 10.10.122.20 (r683106)
for 4366b1 and 4366c0 respectively seem to also /respect/ 802.11f frames
in the Tx path by performing a STA disassociation.
This obsoleted standard and its implementation is something that:
1) Most people don't need / want to use
2) Can allow local DoS attacks
3) Breaks AP interfaces in some specific bridge setups
To solve issues it can cause this commit modifies brcmfmac to drop IAPP
packets. If affects:
1) Rx path: driver won't be sending these unwanted packets up.
2) Tx path: driver will reject packets that would trigger STA
disassociation perfromed by a firmware (possible local DoS attack).
It appears there are some Broadcom's clients/users who care about this
feature despite the drawbacks. They can switch it on using a new module
param.
This change results in only two more comparisons (check for module param
and check for Ethernet packet length) for 99.9% of packets. Its overhead
should be very minimal.

For legacy chips without CLM blob files, kernel with user helper function
returns -EAGAIN when we request_firmware(), and then driver got failed
when bringing up legacy chips. We expect the CLM blob file for legacy chip
is not existence in firmware path, but the -ENOENT error is transferred to
-EAGAIN in firmware_class.c with user helper.
Because of that, we continue with CLM data currently present in firmware
if getting error from doing request_firmware().

The firmware for brcmfmac devices includes information regarding
regulatory constraints. For certain devices this information is kept
separately in a binary form that needs to be downloaded to the device.
This patch adds support to download this so-called CLM blob file. It
uses the same naming scheme as the other firmware files with extension
of .clm_blob.
The CLM blob file is optional. If the file does not exist, the download
process will be bypassed. It will not affect the driver loading.
