2019-05-28llc: fix skb leak in llc_build_and_send_ui_pkt()Eric Dumazet
If llc_mac_hdr_init() returns an error, we must drop the skb since no llc_build_and_send_ui_pkt() caller will take care of this. 2012-05-15net: delete all instances of special processing for token ringPaul Gortmaker
We are going to delete the Token ring support. This removes any special processing in the core networking for token ring, (aside from net/tr.c itself), leaving the drivers and remaining tokenring support present but inert. The mass removal of the drivers and net/tr.c will be in a separate commit, so that the history of these files that we still care about won't have the giant deletion tied into their history. 2011-10-31net: Add export.h for EXPORT_SYMBOL/THIS_MODULE to non-modulesPaul Gortmaker
These files are non modular, but need to export symbols using the macros now living in export.h -- call out the include so that things won't break when we remove the implicit presence of module.h from everywhere. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2009-12-26llc: use dev_hard_headerOctavian Purdila
Using dev_hard_header allows us to use LLC with VLANs and potentially other Ethernet/TokernRing specific encapsulations. It also removes code duplication between LLC and Ethernet/TokenRing core code. 2007-04-25[LLC]: Use skb_reset_mac_header in llc_mac_hdr_initArnaldo Carvalho de Melo
skb_push updates and returns skb->data, so we can just call skb_reset_mac_header after the call to skb_push. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2007-04-25[SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_reset_mac_header(skb)Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo
For the common, open coded 'skb->mac.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can later turn skb->mac.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in 64bit land while possibly keeping it as a pointer on 32bit. This one touches just the most simple case, next will handle the slightly more "complex" cases. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2006-03-20[LLC]: llc_mac_hdr_init const argumentsStephen Hemminger
Cleanup of LLC. llc_mac_hdr_init can take constant arguments, and it is defined twice once in llc_output.h that is otherwise unused. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@osdl.org> Acked-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@mandriva.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
