2023-11-08netfilter: add missing module descriptionsFlorian Westphal
W=1 builds warn on missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION, add them. Signed-off-by: Florian Westphal <fw@strlen.de> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2023-06-26netfilter: nf_tables: limit allowed range via nla_policyFlorian Westphal
These NLA_U32 types get stored in u8 fields, reject invalid values instead of silently casting to u8. Signed-off-by: Florian Westphal <fw@strlen.de> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2022-11-15netfilter: nf_tables: Extend nft_expr_ops::dump callback parametersPhil Sutter
Add a 'reset' flag just like with nft_object_ops::dump. This will be useful to reset "anonymous stateful objects", e.g. simple rule counters. No functional change intended. Signed-off-by: Phil Sutter <phil@nwl.cc> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2022-03-20netfilter: nf_tables: do not reduce read-only expressionsPablo Neira Ayuso
Skip register tracking for expressions that perform read-only operations on the registers. Define and use a cookie pointer NFT_REDUCE_READONLY to avoid defining stubs for these expressions. This patch re-enables register tracking which was disabled in ed5f85d42290 ("netfilter: nf_tables: disable register tracking"). Follow up patches add remaining register tracking for existing expressions. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2022-03-03net: Add skb_clear_tstamp() to keep the mono delivery_timeMartin KaFai Lau
Right now, skb->tstamp is reset to 0 whenever the skb is forwarded. If skb->tstamp has the mono delivery_time, clearing it can hurt the performance when it finally transmits out to fq@phy-dev. The earlier patch added a skb->mono_delivery_time bit to flag the skb->tstamp carrying the mono delivery_time. This patch adds skb_clear_tstamp() helper which keeps the mono delivery_time and clears everything else. The delivery_time clearing will be postponed until the stack knows the skb will be delivered locally. It will be done in a latter patch. 2022-02-20netfilter: nf_tables_offload: incorrect flow offload action array sizePablo Neira Ayuso
immediate verdict expression needs to allocate one slot in the flow offload action array, however, immediate data expression does not need to do so. fwd and dup expression need to allocate one slot, this is missing. Add a new offload_action interface to report if this expression needs to allocate one slot in the flow offload action array. Fixes: be2861dc36d7 ("netfilter: nft_{fwd,dup}_netdev: add offload support") Reported-and-tested-by: Nick Gregory <Nick.Gregory@Sophos.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2021-11-30netfilter: nft_fwd_netdev: Support egress hookPablo Neira Ayuso
Allow packet redirection to another interface upon egress. [lukas: set skb_iif, add commit message, original patch from Pablo. ] Signed-off-by: Lukas Wunner <lukas@wunner.de> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2021-01-27netfilter: nftables: add nft_parse_register_load() and use itPablo Neira Ayuso
This new function combines the netlink register attribute parser and the load validation function. This update requires to replace: enum nft_registers sreg:8; in many of the expression private areas otherwise compiler complains with: error: cannot take address of bit-field ‘sreg’ when passing the register field as reference. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2020-10-22netfilter: nf_fwd_netdev: clear timestamp in forwarding pathPablo Neira Ayuso
Similar to 7980d2eabde8 ("ipvs: clear skb->tstamp in forwarding path"). fq qdisc requires tstamp to be cleared in forwarding path. Fixes: 8203e2d844d3 ("net: clear skb->tstamp in forwarding paths") Fixes: fb420d5d91c1 ("tcp/fq: move back to CLOCK_MONOTONIC") Fixes: 80b14dee2bea ("net: Add a new socket option for a future transmit time.") 2020-03-25net: Fix CONFIG_NET_CLS_ACT=n and CONFIG_NFT_FWD_NETDEV={y, m} buildPablo Neira Ayuso
net/netfilter/nft_fwd_netdev.c: In function ‘nft_fwd_netdev_eval’: net/netfilter/nft_fwd_netdev.c:32:10: error: ‘struct sk_buff’ has no member named ‘tc_redirected’ pkt->skb->tc_redirected = 1; ^~ net/netfilter/nft_fwd_netdev.c:33:10: error: ‘struct sk_buff’ has no member named ‘tc_from_ingress’ pkt->skb->tc_from_ingress = 1; ^~ To avoid a direct dependency with tc actions from netfilter, wrap the redirect bits around CONFIG_NET_REDIRECT and move helpers to include/linux/skbuff.h. Turn on this toggle from the ifb driver, the only existing client of these bits in the tree. This patch adds skb_set_redirected() that sets on the redirected bit on the skbuff, it specifies if the packet was redirect from ingress and resets the timestamp (timestamp reset was originally missing in the netfilter bugfix). Fixes: bcfabee1afd99484 ("netfilter: nft_fwd_netdev: allow to redirect to ifb via ingress") Reported-by: noreply@ellerman.id.au Reported-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-03-24netfilter: nft_fwd_netdev: allow to redirect to ifb via ingressPablo Neira Ayuso
Set skb->tc_redirected to 1, otherwise the ifb driver drops the packet. Set skb->tc_from_ingress to 1 to reinject the packet back to the ingress path after leaving the ifb egress path. This patch inconditionally sets on these two skb fields that are meaningful to the ifb driver. The existing forward action is guaranteed to run from ingress path. Fixes: 39e6dea28adc ("netfilter: nf_tables: add forward expression to the netdev family") Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2020-03-24netfilter: nft_fwd_netdev: validate family and chain typePablo Neira Ayuso
Make sure the forward action is only used from ingress. Fixes: 39e6dea28adc ("netfilter: nf_tables: add forward expression to the netdev family") Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2019-09-10netfilter: nft_{fwd,dup}_netdev: add offload supportPablo Neira Ayuso
This patch adds support for packet mirroring and redirection. The nft_fwd_dup_netdev_offload() function configures the flow_action object for the fwd and the dup actions. Extend nft_flow_rule_destroy() to release the net_device object when the flow_rule object is released, since nft_fwd_dup_netdev_offload() bumps the net_device reference counter. 2018-06-01netfilter: nft_fwd_netdev: allow to forward packets via neighbour layerPablo Neira Ayuso
This allows us to forward packets from the netdev family via neighbour layer, so you don't need an explicit link-layer destination when using this expression from rules. The ttl/hop_limit field is decremented. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>

2016-01-04netfilter: nf_tables: add forward expression to the netdev familyPablo Neira Ayuso
You can use this to forward packets from ingress to the egress path of the specified interface. This provides a fast path to bounce packets from one interface to another specific destination interface. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
