2025-05-21crypto: marvell/cesa - Do not chain submitted requestsHerbert Xu
This driver tries to chain requests together before submitting them to hardware in order to reduce completion interrupts. However, it even extends chains that have already been submitted to hardware. This is dangerous because there is no way of knowing whether the hardware has already read the DMA memory in question or not. Fix this by splitting the chain list into two. One for submitted requests and one for requests that have not yet been submitted. Only extend the latter. 2024-10-19crypto: cesa - use devm_platform_get_and_ioremap_resourceRosen Penev
Removes separate steps. Requires index instead of name. Signed-off-by: Rosen Penev <rosenp@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2024-10-19crypto: cesa - remove irq_set_affinity_hintRosen Penev
This is unnecessary as the irqs are devm managed. Signed-off-by: Rosen Penev <rosenp@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2024-10-19crypto: cesa - use enabled variants for clk_getRosen Penev
Avoids manual frees. Also simplifiies the code with _optional Signed-off-by: Rosen Penev <rosenp@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2024-10-19crypto: drivers - Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all platform drivers below drivers/crypto to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. 2023-11-17crypto: marvell/cesa - Silence gcc format-truncation false positive warningsHerbert Xu
The heuristics used by gcc triggers false positive truncation warnings in hifn_alg_alloc. The warnings are false positives because nengines is at most 2. Make the buffer bigger and change the snprintf to use unsigned integers to eliminate these warnings. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2023-10-27crypto: marvell/cesa - Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-02-13crypto: marvell/cesa - Use request_complete helpersHerbert Xu
Use the request_complete helpers instead of calling the completion function directly. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2021-09-24crypto: marvell/cesa - drop unneeded MODULE_ALIASKrzysztof Kozlowski
The MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE already creates proper alias for platform driver. Having another MODULE_ALIAS causes the alias to be duplicated. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2021-01-29crypto: marvell/cesa - Fix use of sg_pcopy on iomem pointerHerbert Xu
The cesa driver mixes use of iomem pointers and normal kernel pointers. Sometimes it uses memcpy_toio/memcpy_fromio on both while other times it would use straight memcpy on both, through the sg_pcopy_* helpers. This patch fixes this by adding a new field sram_pool to the engine for the normal pointer case which then allows us to use the right interface depending on the value of engine->pool. 2020-09-25crypto: marvell/cesa - use devm_platform_ioremap_resource_bynameZhang Qilong
Use the devm_platform_ioremap_resource_byname() helper instead of calling platform_get_resource_byname() and devm_ioremap_resource() separately. Signed-off-by: Zhang Qilong <zhangqilong3@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2020-07-31crypto: marvell/cesa - irq balanceSven Auhagen
Balance the irqs of the marvell cesa driver over all available cpus. Currently all interrupts are handled by the first CPU. From my testing with IPSec AES 256 SHA256 on my clearfog base with 2 Cores I get a 2x speed increase: Before the patch: 26.74 Kpps With the patch: 56.11 Kpps Signed-off-by: Sven Auhagen <sven.auhagen@voleatech.de> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
