2024-08-01ASoC: intel: split soundwire machine driver private dataVijendar Mukunda
Split intel generic SoundWire machine driver private data into two structures. One structure is generic one which can be used by other platform machine driver and the other one is intel specific one. Move generic machine driver private data to soc_sdw_utils.h. Define a void pointer in generic machine driver private data structure and assign the vendor specific structure in mc_probe() call. 2024-03-26ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: Move get_codec_dai_by_name() into sof_sdw itselfCharles Keepax
Currently sof_sdw relies on sof_board_helpers to provide get_codec_dai_by_name(), but that is the only function from sof_board_helpers it uses and no other machine driver requires that function. There is no reason for sof_sdw to select SSP_COMMON but more and more functions in sof_board_helpers are gaining dependencies on functions that would require stubs for sof_sdw to build without it. Firstly it was sof_ssp_get_codec_name(), as was fixed in commit c1469c3a8a30 ("ASoC: Intel: ssp-common: Add stub for sof_ssp_get_codec_name"), now it is: ERROR: modpost: "sof_ssp_detect_amp_type" [sound/soc/intel/boards/snd-soc-intel-sof-board-helpers.ko] undefined! ERROR: modpost: "sof_ssp_detect_codec_type" [sound/soc/intel/boards/snd-soc-intel-sof-board-helpers.ko] undefined! Rather than adding more stubs, simply move the affected function to the sof_sdw machine driver itself and no longer select SND_SOC_INTEL_SOF_BOARD_HELPERS at all. This should allow work on SSP_COMMON to progress without affecting sof_sdw. 2024-02-08ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: add common sdw dai link initBard Liao
Currently, we set sdw dai link .init callback in the codec_info_list's dais.init function. This works fine if all codecs in the dai link are the same. However, we need to do all the .init stuff for all different codecs in the dai link if not all codecs in the dai link are the same. Use a common dai link .init callback to call the new rtd_init callback in sof_sdw_dai_info{} to do rtd_init for each dai. Some codec init callback will become empty after this change. They will be removed in the follow up patch. 2022-04-14ASoC: soc-card: Create jack kcontrol without pinsAkihiko Odaki
snd_soc_card_jack_new() allowed to create jack kcontrol without pins, but did not create kcontrols. The jack would not have kcontrols if pins were not going to be added. This renames the old snd_soc_card_jack_new() to snd_soc_card_jack_new_pins() for use when pins are provided or will be added later. The new snd_soc_card_jack_new() appropriately creates a jack for use without pins and adds a kcontrol. Somehow for this codec we never used any prefix for the controls, likely because the test platform has a single SoundWire device. 2020-03-27ASoC: Intel: boards: add sof_sdw machine driverPierre-Louis Bossart
This machine driver provides support for different configurations: RT700, RT711, RT1308 (1x and 2x, I2S or SoundWire mode), and RT715 CometLake, Icelake, TigerLake. PDM digital microphones HDMI To avoid introducing one driver per configuration, this common machine driver relies on platform-specific information, tables and quirks to dynamically create the relevant dailinks. Unlike a lot of machine drivers, we use different DAI links for SoundWire capture and playback since the Cadence PDIs can do capture OR playback, not both simultaneously. For each configuration, the card component string is updated so that UCM can select the relevant parts.
