2025-03-05media: platform: ti: Remove unused omap3isp_print_statusDr. David Alan Gilbert
omap3isp_print_status() was added in 2011 by commit 448de7e7850b ("[media] omap3isp: OMAP3 ISP core") but has remained unused. Remove it (and it's associated #defines). Signed-off-by: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <linux@treblig.org> Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl>
2025-03-04media: omap3isp: Use syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle_argsKrzysztof Kozlowski
Use syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle_args() which is a wrapper over syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle() combined with getting the syscon argument. Except simpler code this annotates within one line that given phandle has arguments, so grepping for code would be easier. 2025-03-04media: omap3isp: Handle ARM dma_iommu_mappingRobin Murphy
It's no longer practical for the OMAP IOMMU driver to trick arm_setup_iommu_dma_ops() into ignoring its presence, so let's use the same tactic as other IOMMU API users on 32-bit ARM and explicitly kick the arch code's dma_iommu_mapping out of the way to avoid problems. 2024-10-12media: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all platform drivers below drivers/media to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. 2024-09-04ARM: 9417/1: dma-mapping: Pass device to arm_iommu_create_mapping()Jason Gunthorpe
All users of ARM IOMMU mappings create them for a particular device, so change the interface to accept the device rather than forcing a vague indirection through a bus type. This prepares for making a similar change to iommu_domain_alloc() itself. 2023-08-10media: v4l: async: Set v4l2_device and subdev in async notifier initSakari Ailus
Set the v4l2_device already in async notifier init, so struct device related to it will be available before the notifier is registered. This requires separating notifier initialisation into two functions, one that takes v4l2_device as its argument, v4l2_async_nf_init and v4l2_async_subdev_nf_init, for sub-device notifiers. Registering the notifier will use a single function, v4l2_async_nf_register. This is done in order to make struct device available earlier, during construction of the async connections, for sensible debug prints. 2023-08-10media: omap3isp: Initialise V4L2 async notifier laterSakari Ailus
Initialise V4L2 async notifier and parse DT for async sub-devices later, just before registering the notifier. This way the device can be made available to the V4L2 async framework from the notifier init time onwards. A subsequent patch will add struct v4l2_device as an argument to v4l2_async_nf_init(). 2023-07-28media: v4l: async: Rename v4l2_async_subdev as v4l2_async_connectionSakari Ailus
Rename v4l2_async_subdev as v4l2_async_connection, in order to differentiate between the sub-devices and their connections: one sub-device can have many connections but the V4L2 async framework has so far allowed just a single one. Connections in this context will later translate into either MC ancillary or data links. This patch prepares changing that relation by changing existing users of v4l2_async_subdev to switch to v4l2_async_connection. Async sub-devices themselves will not be needed anymore Additionally, __v4l2_async_nf_add_subdev() has been renamed __v4l2_async_nf_add_connection(). 2023-04-11media: isp: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant.
