2023-01-16ARM: s3c: remove all s3c24xx supportArnd Bergmann
The platform was deprecated in commit 6a5e69c7ddea ("ARM: s3c: mark as deprecated and schedule removal") and can be removed. This includes all files that are exclusively for s3c24xx and not shared with s3c64xx, as well as the glue logic in Kconfig and the maintainer file entries. 2022-06-27ARM: dts: s3c24xx: align SDHCI node name with dtschemaKrzysztof Kozlowski
The node names should be generic and DT schema expects "mmc". Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Alim Akhtar <alim.akhtar@samsung.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220626120342.38851-3-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org
2020-09-11ARM: dts: s3c24xx: add address to CPU nodeKrzysztof Kozlowski
The CPU nodes should be described as children of "cpus" bus node with appropriate "reg" properties: cpus: '#address-cells' is a required property cpus: '#size-cells' is a required property cpu: 'device_type' is a required property cpu: 'reg' is a required property Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200907183313.29234-11-krzk@kernel.org
2020-09-11ARM: dts: s3c24xx: override nodes by labelKrzysztof Kozlowski
Using full paths to extend or override a device tree node is error prone. If there was a typo error, a new node will be created instead of extending the existing node. This will lead to run-time errors that could be hard to detect. A mistyped label on the other hand, will cause a dtc compile error (during build time). 2018-05-07ARM: dts: s3c24xx: Fix unnecessary address/size cells DTC warningsKrzysztof Kozlowski
Fix DTC warnings: arch/arm/boot/dts/s3c2416-smdk2416.dtb: Warning (avoid_unnecessary_addr_size): /cpus: unnecessary #address-cells/#size-cells without "ranges" or child "reg" property arch/arm/boot/dts/s3c2416-smdk2416.dtb: Warning (avoid_unnecessary_addr_size): /clocks: unnecessary #address-cells/#size-cells without "ranges" or child "reg" property Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>
2018-05-03ARM: dts: exynos/s3c: Remove leading 0x and 0s from bindings notationMathieu Malaterre
Improve the DTS files by removing all the leading "0x" and zeros to fix the following dtc warnings: Warning (unit_address_format): Node /XXX unit name should not have leading "0x" Warning (unit_address_format): Node /XXX unit name should not have leading 0s Converted using the following command: find arch/arm/boot/dts -type f \( -iname "*.dts" -o -iname "*.dtsi" \) -exec sed -i \ -e "s/@\([0-9a-fA-FxX\.;:#]\+\)\s*{/@\L\1 {/g" -e "s/@0x\(.*\) {/@\1 \ {/g" -e "s/@0\+\(.\+\) {/@\1 {/g" {} + For simplicity, two sed expressions were used to solve each warnings separately. To make the regex expression more robust a few other issues were resolved, namely setting unit-address to lower case, and adding a whitespace before the the opening curly brace: https://elinux.org/Device_Tree_Linux#Linux_conventions This will solve also a side effect warning: Warning (simple_bus_reg): Node /XXX@<UPPER> simple-bus unit address format error, expected "<lower>" This is a follow up to commit 4c9847b7375a ("dt-bindings: Remove leading 0x from bindings notation") Reported-by: David Daney <ddaney@caviumnetworks.com> Suggested-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Mathieu Malaterre <malat@debian.org> [krzk: Rerun the command to include few more changes, adjust the commit msg] Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>
