2025-04-01drm/i915: reduce intel_wakeref.h dependenciesJani Nikula
Forward declare struct drm_printer instead of including drm/drm_print.h, as we only need the pointer. Turns out quite a few places depend on this include implicitly. Make them explicit. Some of the includes are just stale and unnecessary. Group the forward declarations together while at it. 2024-12-16drm/i915/uncore: add to_intel_uncore() and use itJani Nikula
Add to_intel_uncore() function to avoid the inclusion of i915_drv.h from intel_de.h. This reveals a number of implicit dependencies on i915_drv.h that need to be added. For now, to_intel_uncore() can be an inline function, with all the includes in compat intel_uncore.h, as long as i915_drv.h isn't included. 2022-11-11drm/i915: stop including i915_irq.h from i915_trace.hJani Nikula
Turns out many of the files that need i915_reg.h get it implicitly via {display/intel_de.h, gt/intel_context.h} -> i915_trace.h -> i915_irq.h -> i915_reg.h. Since i915_trace.h doesn't actually need i915_irq.h, makes sense to drop it, but that requires adding quite a few new includes all over the place. Prefer including i915_reg.h where needed instead of adding another implicit include, because eventually we'll want to split up i915_reg.h and only include the specific registers at each place. The PSR enable/disable sequences now require that we program an extra register in the PHY to adjust the lane disable power setting. 2021-07-29drm/i915/dg2: Wait for SNPS PHY calibration during display initMatt Roper
Initialization of the PHY is handled by the hardware/firmware, but the driver should wait up to 25ms for the PHY to report that its calibration has completed. 2021-07-29drm/i915/dg2: Add vswing programming for SNPS physMatt Roper
Vswing programming for SNPS PHYs is just a single step -- look up the value that corresponds to the voltage level from a table and program it into the SNPS_PHY_TX_EQ register. 2021-07-29drm/i915/dg2: Add MPLLB programming for HDMIMatt Roper
At the moment we don't have a proper algorithm that can be used to calculate PHY settings for arbitrary HDMI link rates. The PHY tables here should support the regular modes of real-world HDMI monitors. 2021-07-29drm/i915/dg2: Add MPLLB programming for SNPS PHYMatt Roper
DG2's SNPS PHYs incorporate a dedicated port PLL called MPLLB which takes the place of the shared DPLLs we've used on past platforms. Let's add the MPLLB programming sequences; they'll be plugged into the rest of the code in future patches.
