2025-04-15drm/imagination: Use callbacks for fw irq handlingMatt Coster
This allows for more versatility in checking and clearing firmware registers used for interrupt handling. 2025-04-15drm/imagination: Make has_fixed_data_addr a valueMatt Coster
This is currently a callback function which takes no parameters; there's no reason for this so let's make it a straightforward value in pvr_fw_defs. 2025-04-15drm/imagination: Rename event_mask -> status_maskMatt Coster
Now that enable_reg isn't used, rename the previously shared event_mask to status_mask since it's only used with status_reg. 2025-04-15drm/imagination: Remove firmware enable_regMatt Coster
After a previous commit ("drm/imagination: Mask GPU IRQs in threaded handler"), this register is now only used to enable firmware interrupts at start-of-day. This is, however, unnecessary since they are enabled by default. In addition, the soon-to-be-added RISC-V firmware processors do not have an equivalent register. 2025-04-07Merge drm/drm-next into drm-misc-nextThomas Zimmermann
Backmerging to get v6.15-rc1 into drm-misc-next. Also fixes a build issue when enabling CONFIG_DRM_SCHED_KUNIT_TEST. Signed-off-by: Thomas Zimmermann <tzimmermann@suse.de>
2025-04-07drm/imagination: loop counters moved to loop scopeAlexandru Dadu
Reduce the scope of some loop counters as these aren't needed outside the loops they're used in. 2025-03-03drm/imagination: Hold drm_gem_gpuva lock for unmapBrendan King
Avoid a warning from drm_gem_gpuva_assert_lock_held in drm_gpuva_unlink. The Imagination driver uses the GEM object reservation lock to protect the gpuva list, but the GEM object was not always known in the code paths that ended up calling drm_gpuva_unlink. When the GEM object isn't known, it is found by calling drm_gpuva_find to lookup the object associated with a given virtual address range, or by calling drm_gpuva_find_first when removing all mappings. 2023-11-23drm/imagination: Implement firmware infrastructure and META FW supportSarah Walker
The infrastructure includes parsing of the firmware image, initialising FW-side structures, handling the kernel and firmware command ringbuffers and starting & stopping the firmware processor. This patch also adds the necessary support code for the META firmware processor. Changes since v8: - Fix documentation for pvr_fwccb_process() - Corrected license identifiers Changes since v6: - Add a minimum retry count to pvr_kccb_reserve_slot_sync() Changes since v5: - Add workaround for BRN 71242 - Attempt to recover GPU on MMU flush command failure Changes since v4: - Remove use of drm_gem_shmem_get_pages() - Remove interrupt resource name Changes since v3: - Hard reset FW processor on watchdog timeout - Switch to threaded IRQ - Rework FW object creation/initialisation to aid hard reset - Added MODULE_FIRMWARE() - Use drm_dev_{enter,exit} Signed-off-by: Sarah Walker <sarah.walker@imgtec.com> Signed-off-by: Donald Robson <donald.robson@imgtec.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/bb52a8dc84f296b37dc6668dfe8fbaf2ba551139.1700668843.git.donald.robson@imgtec.com Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <mripard@kernel.org>
