2024-03-05mei: me: remove unnecessary NULL pointer checksBjorn Helgaas
The .shutdown(), .remove(), and power management callbacks are never called unless .probe() has already returned success, which means it has set drvdata to a non-NULL pointer, so "dev" can never be NULL in the other callbacks. 2022-01-23mei: me: Use dma_set_mask_and_coherent() and simplify codeChristophe JAILLET
Use dma_set_mask_and_coherent() instead of unrolling it with some dma_set_mask()+dma_set_coherent_mask(). Moreover, as stated in [1], dma_set_mask() with a 64-bit mask will never fail if dev->dma_mask is non-NULL. So, if it fails, the 32 bits case will also fail for the same reason. Simplify code and remove some dead code accordingly. While at it, include directly <linux/dma-mapping.h> instead on relying on indirect inclusion. 2020-07-29mei: add device kind to sysfsAlexander Usyskin
Some of the mei device heads are not generic and have a specific purpose, we need to announce it to the user space so it is possible to detect the correct device node via matching attributes. Generic heads are marked as 'mei' while special purpose heads have their own names. Currently we are adding 'itouch' string for Intel IPTS 1.0, 2.0 devices. This is done via new sysfs attribute 'kind'. 2020-04-20mei: me: fix irq number stored in hw structBenjamin Lee
Commit 261b3e1f2a01 ("mei: me: store irq number in the hw struct.") stores the irq number in the hw struct before MSI is enabled. This caused a regression for mei_me_synchronize_irq() waiting for the wrong irq number. On my laptop this causes a hang on shutdown. Fix the issue by storing the irq number after enabling MSI. The fixed MKHI client on PCH 6 gen platforms does not support fw version retrieval. The error is not fatal, but it fills up the kernel logs and slows down the driver start. This patch disables requesting FW version on GEN6 and earlier platforms.
